Comment on the Preliminary Park Master Plan for Northerly Park!
Based on the public input so far, two preliminary master plans have been developed for your review and comment.
Both plans include many of the same elements, including a viewing tower, natural hiking and cross-country ski trails, natural playground, fishing trawler, feldspar mining cart, paved parking lot, Fort St. Charles fencing and turrets, historical interpretative signage, vaulted toilet, and information kiosk.
However, Master Plan 1 and Master Plan 2 do have some differences, and we would like to know what you like about each plan or what you would like to see changes for each plan. Also, please let us know which plan you like the best or any other comments overall.
Master Plan 1 Features
- Boardwalk and floating dock area out to the lake
- Picnic area near viewing tower
- Paved hiking trail around entire site
Master Plan 2 Features
- Boat launch and dock area
- Paved hiking trail only on south end of property
- New welcome center/border call area
- Community pavilion
